Baseball Game Preview: Lyon County Lyons vs. Livingston Central Cardinals

For the second straight game, Lyon County will face off against Livingston Central. The Lyons will venture away from home to challenge the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lyon County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Livingston Central will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Lyon County extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Lyons blew past the Cardinals 18-3. Considering the Lyons have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On the hitting side, Lyon County let Austin Spears and Korben Lucas run wild. Spears went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Lucas went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave Spears a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Baker, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
