Wylie had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Temple Wildcats 12-3 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Wylie has been performing well recently as they've won 18 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Temple, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-12-1.

As of now, neither Wylie nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
