Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Creek Coyotes vs. South Sumter Raiders + How To Watch

The Cypress Creek Coyotes will head out on the road to square off against the South Sumter Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cypress Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.

Cypress Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Largo on Tuesday. The Coyotes breezed past the Packers to the tune of 71-43.

Cypress Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shane Callahan led the charge by going 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, Callahan now owns an excellent 56.3% shooting accuracy. Devin Suggs was another key player, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 17 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Cypress Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, South Sumter had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Buchholz and fell 64-37.

The victory got Cypress Creek back to even at 2-2. As for South Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Cypress Creek and South Sumter were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, but Cypress Creek came up empty-handed after a 48-47 loss.
