Basketball Recap: Yarnell Freitas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakewood Presbyterian over Faith Lutheran

Lakewood Presbyterian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The matchup between them and the Faith Lutheran Lions didn't end well, with the Lakewood Presbyterian Knights falling 39-24. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yarnell Freitas, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Montgomery, who had five points and three blocks.

Faith Lutheran was led to victory by Kenny Hoff and Trent Reynolds. Hoff earned 15 points, while Reynolds scored 15 points.

Lakewood Presbyterian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Faith Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Lakewood Presbyterian has already played their next matchup, a 95-39 loss against Trinity Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Faith Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-25 victory against Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric on the 24th.
