The Prescott Badgers are taking a road trip to challenge the Bradshaw Mountain Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Prescott comes in on six and Bradshaw Mountain on three.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Prescott and Coconino had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Prescott put the hurt on Coconino with a sharp 15-3 victory on Thursday. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Travis Gates made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Prescott got a big performance out of Lucas Tobin, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Colton Champion also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Prescott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Mountain won against Mingus on Friday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Bradshaw Mountain beat Poston Butte by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. Considering the Bears have won five games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Prescott, Bradshaw Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player: Dylan Lockwood. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lockwood was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caden Randall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sammy Villafana, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Prescott pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their record now sits at 11-3.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Prescott has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .526. However, it's not like Bradshaw Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Prescott might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Bradshaw Mountain when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Prescott avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
