Basketball Recap: Jackson Christian Takes a Loss

Jackson Christian and Harding Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Jackson Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Harding Academy Lions by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since November 19, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harding Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Rose Austin, who posted ten points and eight boards. Erica McGary was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Jackson Christian's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Harding Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Jackson Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
