It was a proper cat-fight when Basis Independent Silicon Valley took on Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit on Tuesday. Basis Independent Silicon Valley put the hurt on Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit with a sharp 3-0 win.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday El Primero sidestepped KIPP Navigate College Prep for a 3-2 win.

El Primero was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (111-110), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 19-17.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for El Primero, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
