Volleyball Recap: Klein Collins Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Klein Collins, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Magnolia West Mustangs on Tuesday. The Tigers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Klein Collins walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-23.

Klein Collins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Guinn, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, Guinn racked up 19 assists, the most she's had over her last 13 contests.

When it comes to explaining why Magnolia West lost, don't look at Lola Jordan. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs. Alex Kerman also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Klein Collins' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. As for Magnolia West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Coming up, Klein Collins will host Atascocita at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Magnolia West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mansfield at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
