Softball Recap: Adirondack Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Adirondack entered their tilt with Waterville on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Monday.

Allison Croniser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Adirondack's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rilee O'Hara, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Adirondack pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Waterville, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adirondack will host Oriskany at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waterville, they will be playing at home against Canastota at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
