Football Game Preview: Everglades Gators vs. Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars + Official Tickets

The Everglades Gators will head out to take on the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Everglades and seven for Pembroke Pines Charter.

Everglades is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against North Miami on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Gators were beaten by the Pioneers 36-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pembroke Pines Charter took on Mater Academy Charter on Saturday. The Jaguars had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Lions are ranked 99th).

Everglades' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everglades and Pembroke Pines Charter were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but Everglades suffered an agonizing 22-21 defeat. Thankfully for the Gators, Keidran Willis Jr (who rushed for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
