Volleyball Recap: Huntley's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Huntley lost against Hampshire back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Whip-Purs by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Huntley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 26-24.

Izzy Whitehouse paced Huntley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Whitehouse got some help from Abby Whitehouse and her 11 assists. Izzy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Huntley's loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-10. As for Hampshire, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

Huntley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hampshire, they will square off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
