Soccer Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

Monarch was the 1-0 winner over Deerfield Beach when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Monarch Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deerfield Beach Bucks on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Bucks are ranked 128th).

Monarch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-2 record this season. As for Deerfield Beach, they pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Monarch has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Miramar on the 18th. As for Deerfield Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Taravella on the 18th.
