Basketball Recap: Skidmore-Tynan Comes Up Short

Skidmore-Tynan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 41-31 to the Yorktown Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-42 back in January.

Skidmore-Tynan's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Yorktown, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skidmore-Tynan will take on Port Aransas at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Aransas knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Skidmore-Tynan likes a good challenge. As for Yorktown, they will challenge Pettus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
