Softball Recap: Belle Plaine Takes a Loss

Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks, falling 12-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Plainsmen have suffered against the Tigerhawks since June 7, 2017.

Belle Plaine's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Colfax-Mingo, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Belle Plaine will take on rival North Mahaska at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Colfax-Mingo is set to face off against their familiar foe B-G-M at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
