Softball Recap: American Canyon Comes Up Short

American Canyon came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-1 to the Casa Grande Gauchos. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Gauchos: they've now lost five in a row.

American Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 12-11-1. As for Casa Grande, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-1 record this season.

American Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-3 defeat against Freedom on the 20th. As for Casa Grande, they have also already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Vintage on the 16th.
