Softball Recap: Westview Chargers vs. Milan Bulldogs
Westview won against Milan last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Chargers blew past the Bulldogs 8-1. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

McCall Sims was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sarah Byars, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Zoey Matte, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Westview's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Milan, they moved to 23-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
