Volleyball Game Recap: Wasco Tigers vs. Taft Wildcats

Wasco lost against Taft back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Tuesday.

While Wasco ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19.

Karsynn Owens went supernova For Taft., getting 27 assists and 15 digs. That's the most digs Owens has posted over her last six matchups.

Wasco has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Taft, their victory bumped their record up to 11-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wasco will host Shafter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taft, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Delano at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
