Basketball Recap: La Plata Takes a Loss

After flying high against Putnam County last Monday, La Plata came back down to earth. The La Plata Bulldogs lost 59-39 to the Canton Tigers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

La Plata's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Canton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Canton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th.
