Southwest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Winn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will look to defend their home pitch against the Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Winn will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Southwest extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Dragons never let Harlandale get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Southwest might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Harlandale with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Guillermo Lazcano, Luis Perez, and Caleb Barajas.

Meanwhile, McCollum kept up with Winn until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys.

Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 9-1-1. As for Winn, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Southwest got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Winn by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
