Basketball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon lost against Notre Dame Prep back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Horizon Huskies were dealt an 83-26 defeat at the hands of the Notre Dame Prep Saints. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Saints are ranked eighth).

Horizon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Burke, who posted six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Horizon and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Notre Dame Prep, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

As of now, neither Horizon nor Notre Dame Prep have any future games scheduled.
