Softball Recap: Altamont Finds Playoff Glory Versus Grand County

With a playoff win on the line, Altamont rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Grand County Red Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

Kiley Crapo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Altamont secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Kate Lindsay, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Grand County, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.

As of now, neither Altamont nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
