The St. Pauls Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Douglas Byrd Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. St. Pauls really took it to Douglas Byrd for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-23 victory on the road.
St. Pauls found their leader in underclassman Tyson Thompson, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least 25% of St. Pauls' points. Jakhi Purcell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 4 steals.
The win got St. Pauls back to even at 2-2. As for Douglas Byrd, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
St. Pauls will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
