Hooks waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins...and they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Jefferson Bulldogs.

Jefferson's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stormi McNeil, who had six aces and three digs. Another player making a difference was Maddie Cooner, who had seven digs and two aces.

Hooks' win brought them up to 6-4. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling for a while as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hooks and Jefferson will both be playing Pittsburg the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
