Volleyball Recap: Perrysburg Gets the Win

Perrysburg's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Whitmer Panthers by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Whitmer scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23.

Perrysburg had a senior duo take command as Ali Cherry had 19 digs and Abigail Bartolo had seven digs and two assists. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Cherry.

Perrysburg's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Whitmer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Perrysburg will head out on the road to challenge Olentangy Berlin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitmer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
