Baseball Recap: Edna Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Edna had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Palacios Sharks 5-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cowboys have posted since April 16, 2024.

Brady Peters made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton McCarrel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Edna's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Palacios, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.

Edna will have a chance to go back-to-back against Palacios: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
