Basketball Recap: Converse Takes a Loss

Converse suffered their biggest defeat since November 11th on Thursday. They were dealt a 71-20 loss at the hands of the Airline Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Vikings are ranked 30th).

This is the second loss in a row for Converse and nudges their season record down to 5-14. As for Airline, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Converse will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dodson at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Airline and Homer will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
