After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Point, Ashbrook was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the North Gaston Wildcats 2-1. This was a revenge game for Ashbrook: when they faced off against North Gaston back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Miguel Saldarriaga and Roosevert Norveus scored both of Ashbrook's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Ashbrook pushed their record up to 4-13-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for North Gaston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5-1.

Coincidentally, Ashbrook and North Gaston will both be playing Kings Mountain the next time they take the pitch. The Wildcats will host the Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Greenwave will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
