Basketball Game Preview: Regis Jesuit Raiders vs. San Tan Charter Roadrunners

The Regis Jesuit Raiders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the San Tan Charter Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Regis Jesuit comes in on four and San Tan Charter on three.

On Thursday, Regis Jesuit made easy work of Perry and carried off a 75-50 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Tan Charter). They claimed a resounding 133-20 win over ALA - Mesa North. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Roadrunners' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Mavericks are ranked 215th).

Regis Jesuit better keep an eye on Peyton Lubash. He was instrumental in San Tan Charter's win, shooting 53% from beyond the arc en route to 34 points. Those 34 points gave Lubash a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kristo Jackson, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight assists and six steals.

San Tan Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 30 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Regis Jesuit's record now sits at 4-0. As for San Tan Charter, their record is now 8-1.
