Basketball Recap: Rocksprings Angoras vs. D'Hanis Cowboys

If Rocksprings was feeling good fresh off their 82-40 takedown of Nueces Canyon last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rocksprings Angoras were beaten by the D'Hanis Cowboys 79-47 on Friday. The Angoras were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Angoras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Taylor, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydyn Arispe, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

D'Hanis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brent Frosch out in front who went 5 of 6 on his way to 17 points and three steals. That's the most points Frosch has posted since back in December of 2024. Kase Braden was another key player, going 9 of 18 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds.
