Genoa-Kingston is 7-2 against Lutheran since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Cody Cravatta was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 78 yards and one TD on only ten carries, and also threw for 103 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Genoa-Kingston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Dakota, falling 58-36. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Genoa-Kingston will have to contain Richard Anderson as he made an impact in Lutheran's last game. He rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Genoa-Kingston's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Genoa-Kingston strolled past Lutheran when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 29-14. Will the Cogs repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
