Basketball Recap: Hicks Comes Up Short

Hicks lost against Anacoco back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hicks Pirates lost 52-28 to the Anacoco Indians. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hicks' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Anacoco, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

When Hicks and Anacoco next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hicks will try to stop Pitkin's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Anacoco will take on Fairview and their five-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
