Football Recap: Lincoln Tigers vs. South Gate Rams
Lincoln couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell to the South Gate Rams 46-40. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Jacob Gomez, who threw for 340 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes. Andres Pereda-Olympia was Gomez's top target, picking up 177 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lincoln will take on Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Gate, they will face off against Lynwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
