Basketball Recap: Piscataquis Takes a Loss

Piscataquis lost against Dexter back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Piscataquis Pirates took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dexter Tigers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dexter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kody Kimball led the charge by going 9 for 16 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Those 27 points gave Kimball a new career-high. Bryce Cooper was another key player, going 6 of 14 en route to 12 points along with six assists and six steals.

Piscataquis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dexter, their record is now 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piscataquis will venture away from home to face off against Greenville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dexter, they will head out to square off against Penobscot Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
