Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. Sachse Mustangs

Lakeview Centennial is 2-8 against Sachse since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Patriots will square off against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Lakeview Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Sachse likes a good challenge.

While Lakeview Centennial didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 70-51 win over Bridgeport on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sachse posted their closest victory since February 4th on Saturday. They skirted past Grand Prairie 43-41. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lakeview Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sachse, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Lakeview Centennial couldn't quite finish off Sachse in their previous meeting back in January and fell 58-56. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
