Baseball Game Preview: Hayti Indians vs. Caruthersville Tigers

Hayti is 0-7 against Caruthersville since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Indians will take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Hayti has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hayti is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Delta. Even if the Indians couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Caruthersville took on Senath-Hornersville on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3.

Hayti's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Caruthersville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Hayti might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Caruthersville in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
