Basketball Recap: North Lamar Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when North Lamar faced off against Celina on Tuesday. The North Lamar Panthers lost to the Celina Bobcats at home by a 65-51 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Bobcats are ranked 164th).

North Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Celina, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

North Lamar will head out on the road to square off against Ford at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Celina, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Panther Creek at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Celina has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 220 points over their last three matchups.
