Softball Recap: Sultana Comes Up Short

Sultana was the 9-5 winner over Summit when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Sultans came up short against the SkyHawks on Friday, falling 13-1. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexis Mejia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Sultana's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Summit, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Sultana and Summit should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Sultans will square off against Serrano at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (232 vs. 485). Meanwhile, Summit (ranked 405th) will meet Carter (ranked 811th) at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
