Volleyball Game Preview: Irvington Vikings vs. James Logan Colts

The Irvington Vikings will square off against the James Logan Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Irvington took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over American.

James Logan extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Austin Milton. The Colts put the hurt on Newark Memorial with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Milton, who had 17 digs and one assist. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times he's played.

James Logan was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-16.

James Logan's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Irvington, they pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
