Baseball Recap: Dallastown Wildcats vs. Northeastern Bobcats

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dallastown). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northeastern Bobcats 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Matt Stone tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Logan Kessler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cade Flinchbaugh, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory got Dallastown back to even at 2-2. As for Northeastern, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Dallastown Wildcats face off against Central York Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northeastern, they will face off against South Western at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games South Western has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
