Football Game Preview: Wilcox Central Jaguars vs. Dallas County Hornets + How To Watch

Wilcox Central hasn't had much luck against Dallas County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Wilcox Central has given up an average of 47.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wilcox Central's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Thomasville last Friday. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 66-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Tigers are ranked 166th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dallas County). They blew past Sumter Central, posting a 36-6 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Wilcox Central better keep an eye on Kentrell Hamilton. He was instrumental in Dallas County's win, rushing for 138 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Hamilton also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

Wilcox Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dallas County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Wilcox Central ended up a good deal behind Dallas County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 46-30. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
