Basketball Game Preview: Idalou Wildcats vs. Muleshoe Mules

The Idalou Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Muleshoe Mules at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Idalou's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Wildcats on Friday. Idalou fell just short of Littlefield by a score of 59-56. That's two games in a row now that Idalou has lost by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Muleshoe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were beaten by Shallowater 81-26. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1406th, while the Mustangs are ranked 344th).

Idalou's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Muleshoe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Everything came up roses for Idalou against Muleshoe in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 69-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Idalou since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
