Softball Recap: Antwerp Falls to Wauseon in First Game of Season

Antwerp unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 14-3 to the Wauseon Indians on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Allison Sproles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Antwerp will be playing in front of their home fans against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wauseon, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Pettisville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
