Basketball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Amarillo Sandies 55-27. While losing is never fun, the Westerners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Sandies are ranked eighth).

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Amarillo, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-4.

Lubbock will face off against Lubbock-Cooper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Amarillo, they will challenge Tascosa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
