The Lansing Catholic Cougars will take on the St. Louis Sharks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lansing Catholic sitting on three straight victories and St. Louis on four.
Lansing Catholic lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Williamston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Cougars blew past the Hornets 13-3 on Thursday. Considering the Cougars have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Zoey Gruber made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Lansing Catholic got a massive performance out of Taylor Dunneback, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Dunneback also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Avery Dunneback was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Lansing Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williamston struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, St. Louis was able to grind out a solid win over Ogemaw Heights on Friday, taking the game 4-1.
Lansing Catholic pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Louis, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
