Maysville came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the South Harrison Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Maysville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Harrison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
