Basketball Game Preview: Woodlawn Warriors vs. Lansdowne Vikings

The Woodlawn Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Lansdowne Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodlawn will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 47-14, which was the final score in Woodlawn's tilt against Rosedale Christian Academy on Monday. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lansdowne can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Parkville by a score of 35-26.

Lansdowne's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Woodlawn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Woodlawn strolled past Lansdowne in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 52-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodlawn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
