Baseball Recap: DeKalb County Comes Up Short

Warren County hit DeKalb County with a five-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 9-2 to the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

DeKalb County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Warren County, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15.

DeKalb County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warren County, they will head out to take on Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.8 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
