Softball Recap: Saddleback Comes Up Short

Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Hawthorne Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roadrunners of the 15-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Saddleback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hawthorne, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saddleback will welcome Loma Linda Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawthorne, they will host South Gate at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne is facing South Gate at the right time seeing as South Gate is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
