Basketball Recap: Buckingham Charter Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Buckingham Charter and Vacaville Christian meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Knights had to suffer through a 68-20 loss at the hands of the Falcons. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Vacaville Christian was led to victory by Siifan Ayana and Dylan Eddings. Ayana posted 15 points and eight rebounds, while Eddings dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trustin Lugo, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Buckingham Charter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Vacaville Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Buckingham Charter will square off against Foresthill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vacaville Christian, they will take on Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
