Soccer Game Preview: Boca Raton vs. Leonard

The Boca Raton Bobcats will challenge the Leonard Lancers at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Boca Raton is headed into the match having not lost since December 5 and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top against Palmer Trinity by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Falcons are ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boca Raton hit Palmer Trinity with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nathaniel Leslie, Lucca Silverio, and Lucas Venegas.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Leonard made sure to put some goals up on the board against Palm Beach Lakes back in December of 2024. They blew past the Rams 5-1. The result kept the Lancers happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 15, 2024.

Boca Raton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matchups. As for Leonard, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-3.

Everything went Boca Raton's way against Leonard in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Boca Raton made off with a 5-0 victory. Does Boca Raton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Leonard turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
